A set of railroad tracks running across the land have been used for years as a portion of a recreational trail at Devil's Lake state park in Wisconsin. In the summer heat, train tracks along this section are exposed to direct sun and it might be a tiring walk here after looping around the lake. Be careful, the tracks here are still active! Close-up images of the tracks detail stone, railroad ties, and the rails across the landscape.

Peace, zen and patience contribute to the art of balancing rocks like the dedication of finding a great location to showcase the masterpiece. Finding stacks of stones laid one upon the other while  enjoying the outdoors delivers a feeling of appreciation for those who spent their time to add a little natural art and harmony to the world in places that may otherwise be flat and ordinary.

Decor found in home gardens, though initially meant to add a personal touch to the hobby, are sometimes a little creepy looking after years of weathering and disrepair.  Discovering old and forgotten ornaments abandoned in backyard gardens is a little entertaining and provides interesting subject matter for object photography.
