Rocky Mountains


Driving into the great Rocky Mountains on a clear and sunny day reveals a special magnetic attraction settlers must have felt when they first discovered the range. Snow-covered caps dominate rolling foothills and fields leading the way to iconic mountain landscapes known around the world. Weather patterns over the Rockies certainly add to the setting and can easily create a dramatic effect which emphasizes the mountain presence.

A unique characteristic about Ragdoll cats, when compared to other breeds, is how they will lay down and stretch out flat on their back for attention or to relax.  The one pictured here loves yarn, feather toys, and sometimes playing with tennis balls. He lives in his own world for the most part, but when he seeks attention, a purring puff ball can be difficult to resist.

Trail Boardwalks

A fun element to hiking new trails beyond seeing nature up close is encountering stretches of wooden boardwalks leading across marshy land and over water or small valleys. Perhaps part of the interest in seeing trail boardwalks is the irony, that trees in the area were cleared and replaced with repetitive patterned pathways made of wood. While boardwalks might represent the piece of forest replaced by forest parts for human travel, they nevertheless lead explorers further into the trek by enticing hikers with unknowns ahead.
